Bovet Récital 26 Brainstorming Chapter 2 Sunshine Collection
With the iconic Bovet cocktail, watch fireworks and exquisite decorations bathed in bright yellow sunlight.
Bovet released the second edition of Chapter 2 of Récital26 Brainstorm, with a bright yellow tone. Although Bovet watches are rarely overlooked, this yellow stylish watch will attract the attention of everyone in the same room as the wearer. The "Sunshine Series" is limited to seven pieces, full of unexpected surprises in watchmaking, and can be viewed from any angle of the sapphire crystal case. https://www.chronowrist.ru
One of the most striking architectural features of this watch is its tilted case, which is inspired by the tilt angle of an antique writing desk. The slanted case has a pronounced slope-thicker at the top and tapering at the bottom-which proved to be an ideal habitat for the complex 3D machinery behind Bovet's astronomical works. In 2019, the owner Pascal Raffy redesigned the sapphire crystal tilted case for the first chapter of Récital 26 Brainstorm, with tourbillon and moon phase errors.
The latest "Brainstorm" Chapter 2 "Sunshine Series" has the same timing complexity as the "Blue" version of Chapter 1: Double-sided flying tourbillon, precise moon phase indicator, second time zone and power with world time Reserve indicator. In order to highlight Bovet's complexity and impeccable hand-modified effect, the case is also made of sapphire crystal. Its life statics are impressive, with a diameter of 47.8 mm and a thickness of 15.5 mm at the highest point. Sapphire crystal is the second hardest material after diamonds. It is lighter than titanium, which was used to make lugs and rings on the back of the watch.
The basic configuration of the complication on the dial is as follows: the domed lemon-colored disc at noon conveys the hours and minutes (local time in travel mode); the second hand is displayed on the 60-second tourbillon at 6 o'clock; the one at 9 o'clock The rotating dome corresponds to the moon phase, while the dome at 3 o'clock shows the second time zone.
Although it looks like a second time zone (GMT) function, the 3 o'clock dome is actually a world timer programmed into the second time zone. The names of 24 cities are engraved on the rotating part of the dome at 3 o'clock, and the cities are selected with a V-shaped yellow needle frame. For example, in the photo, Geneva is selected and the time is 11:00. Once the city is selected, the world timer will complete its adjustment (patented mechanism) and display the time in all other 23 cities simultaneously.
The 9 o'clock dome rotates synchronously with the lunar calendar, and it only needs to be corrected every 122 years. However, as Bovet's creation, the age of the moon is not displayed in both hemispheres in one hemisphere. The hollow figure eight structure (selected in yellow) glides on the hand-carved lunar surface, highlighting the part of the moon that is visible in the hemisphere.
Both of these rotating domes have a patented radial guidance system. They rely on micro-micron ruby rollers (adjustable by micrometer screws) to achieve their rotation. With minimal friction, the accuracy of the movement can be improved, and the power reserve will not be exhausted.
A five-armed star with a faceted sapphire in the center holds the double-sided flying tourbillon in place. The arm missing from the asterisk corresponds to the pointer of the running seconds indicator. Just in case you miss it, the power reserve indicator is located at the top of the case between the two lugs and relies on the yellow pointed pointer that follows the linear indicator.
Needless to say, decoration is as important as mechanics. One of the main patterns is the "broken glass" pattern hand-carved on the basis of three domes.

Thanks to the creative use of Super-LumiNova, "Chapter Two Sunshine" shines through the day and night. The yellow hemispherical time dial is coated with a green Super-LumiNova manual coating, giving the dial a powdery, almost vague appearance, and emits a vibrant green light in the dark. The moon also emits a cool green glow in the dark, in sharp contrast with the blue night light that illuminates the starry sky.
The second chapter of Récital 26 brainstorming uses a dual barrel manual winding movement, which provides an impressive power reserve of five days. On the back is a golden hollow bridge with beautiful "broken glass" carvings that seem to hover like butterfly wings on the silver structure supporting the dome. Naturally, the double-sided tourbillon can also be appreciated on the back of the watch, while the propeller pattern can also be seen on the double barrel and gold case.
